What is Oddssider – and why margin first?

Oddssider is a Norwegian site comparing odds sites in Norway – «oddssider» or «odds sider» in Norwegian – for players based in Norway. This page is in English for expats and English-speaking readers, but the starting point is the same: odds are prices.

The same match can have different odds at different sites. That difference is about the bookmaker’s margin, so comparing sites means looking at the price rather than treating every set of odds as interchangeable.

In the measurement on 1 October 2026, Quickz had the lowest average margin on the same matches, at 4.90%. At the other end, 30bet had the highest, at 9.56%. The important part is “the same matches”. That gives the comparison a common starting point, rather than putting prices from different matches beside each other.

And that date matters. Those numbers describe the measurement on 1 October 2026; they should not be read as an undated ranking. The table below shows the latest measurement and updates twice a day.

How the margin meter works

Odds are prices, and the first thing to do with a price is work out what it implies. Divide 1 by the decimal odds to turn them into a probability. Odds of 2.00 imply a 50% probability.

Now do that for all three outcomes: home win, draw and away win. Add the probabilities together. The total comes out above 100%, and that excess is the bookmaker’s margin. So comparing one attractive price is not quite the same as comparing the pricing of the whole match.

The calculation is:

Margin = (1/H + 1/D + 1/A) − 1

Payout = 1 / (1/H + 1/D + 1/A)

Here, H, D and A are the home, draw and away odds. Express the results as percentages.

Take Wales–Norway on 1 October 2026. Quickz has odds of 6.50 / 4.90 / 1.47. That gives a margin of 3.82% and a payout of 96.3%. At 30bet, the prices are 6.00 / 4.50 / 1.41, giving a margin of 9.81% and a payout of 91.1%.

Put that into NOK and the difference becomes easier to read. Over time, NOK 750 staked on matches priced like these returns roughly NOK 722 at Quickz, versus NOK 683 at 30bet. That is about NOK 39 more returned on the same amount staked.

These are theoretical returns over time, not a promise about what happens to an individual bet. But they give you a useful way to compare the prices before choosing where to bet.

How I rank the odds sites

Odds are prices, and the ranking starts there. Odds and margin carry 25% of the total weight, the largest share of the six criteria. Margins are measured twice a day on 1X2 football odds. That keeps the price comparison tied to a defined market and a regular measurement schedule.

Next comes the odds bonus after wagering, at 20%. The emphasis is on what the bonus is worth after its wagering requirements, rather than the headline amount. Bonus terms come from each site’s own terms, so those conditions belong in the comparison.

Payouts and payments also carry 20%. This part covers payout times and payment methods, again using the information in each site’s own terms. Those are the stated conditions, which matters when reading a comparison of withdrawals.

Markets and live betting account for 15%. Then licence and company carry 10%, and Norwegian everyday use takes the remaining 10%. For that last criterion, the focus is on a NOK account and support.

So the balance is explicit: odds prices get the most weight, while bonus value and payments together account for another 40%. Market coverage, licence and company, and everyday use complete the picture. No single criterion is the whole ranking.

Odds bonuses in NOK: what are they really worth?

A 100% odds bonus doubles the deposit, but the headline amount is only the starting point. The wagering requirement tells you how much betting sits between receiving the bonus and completing its terms. That is the number to put beside the maximum offer, rather than comparing the maximums alone.

Quickz offers 100% up to €500, with wagering of 6x the deposit plus bonus, minimum odds of 1.50 and 21 days to complete it. Reblz offers 100% up to €400 on the same terms. So the difference between those two offers is the bonus ceiling, not the wagering multiplier, minimum odds or deadline.

Unlimit, SlotOwl, LuckyJungle, Betinferno, Monsino and Winzie each offer 100% up to €250 at 6x. Those are lower maximum bonuses, but the multiplier is still worth keeping in view. A larger headline bonus is not a substitute for working through the requirement.

Take a deposit of NOK 750 with a 100% bonus. You receive another NOK 750, giving you NOK 1,500. At 6x the deposit plus bonus, the amount to wager is NOK 9,000. Under the Quickz and Reblz terms, that wagering must be at odds of 1.50 or higher and completed within 21 days.

The important detail is what the six is multiplied by. It is not just the NOK 750 deposit, and it is not just the NOK 750 bonus. It is the combined NOK 1,500.

A 6x requirement is far easier than the 10–30x commonly seen on casino bonuses. Still, NOK 9,000 is the betting volume required in this example, not the bonus value or a promised return.

Free bets with no wagering

The headline amount is only the starting point with free bets, because a free bet pays the winnings, not the stake. That makes it worth less than the same amount in cash.

Take a NOK 1,000 free bet at odds of 2.0. If it wins, it pays NOK 1,000 in winnings. A NOK 1,000 cash bet at those odds returns NOK 2,000, including the original stake. Same odds, different value.

Winsly offers up to €350 in free bets, with no wagering requirement and minimum odds of 1.80. Each free bet is valid for 24 hours, so the expiry matters alongside the larger headline amount. At odds of 1.80, a winning NOK 1,000 free bet pays NOK 800.

Kumobet, ProntoBet, Trivelabet and Jaabet each offer 100% up to €200 in free bets, with 1x wagering and minimum odds of 2.0.

So the comparison is not just €350 against €200. It is also no wagering against 1x wagering, the minimum odds, and, for Winsly, that 24-hour window for each bet. The free bets page is the place to compare these terms.

Deposits and withdrawals from Norway

Payment options are worth checking before choosing an odds site, because a long list of methods is not much help if the deposit route you want does not work. Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, Revolut, Jeton, MiFinity and AstroPay are common methods across the sites in the list. Unlimit has 13 payment methods, while Monsino and Winzie have 12. That gives you a starting point, but the number alone does not tell you which option will be practical.

Norwegian banks may decline card deposits to betting sites. If a Visa or Mastercard deposit is declined, Revolut, Jeton or bank transfer are the practical alternatives. The payment methods guide is the place to compare those options rather than choosing a site solely because it accepts cards.

Then there is the amount needed to get started. Most sites at the top of the list have a minimum deposit of NOK 200. For a simple example, a NOK 200 deposit meets that minimum; there is no need to turn it into a larger payment just to reach the stated threshold. Quickz, Reblz, Winsly, Unlimit and others also offer NOK accounts.

Withdrawals deserve a separate look. Quickz, Reblz, Winsly and the other sites at the top process withdrawals within up to 72 hours, with bank withdrawals often processed the same working day. Qbet, 30bet and 55bet state up to 24 hours.

Live betting, cash-out and bet builder

Live betting means placing a bet while the match is on, with odds moving during play. That movement is the main point: the price you see is not fixed throughout the match, so comparing odds sites means looking at their live offering, not just their pre-match markets.

Then there are the features alongside those changing prices. Cash-out is available at Quickz, Reblz, Winsly and Unlimit, as well as most sites in the list. Bet builder is available at those same four sites, plus SlotOwl and more. There is overlap here, but the lists are not identical, and it is worth keeping the features separate rather than treating them as one package.

Live streaming is another thing to check. It is confirmed at Kumobet, ProntoBet, Trivelabet and Jaabet. That is the confirmed streaming list here; it should not be confused with the cash-out or bet-builder lists.

The sports Norwegians bet on

Football comes first, with Eliteserien, Norway’s top league, alongside the Premier League, Champions League and national team matches. The markets to look at are 1X2, handicap, over/under and both teams to score. That gives the comparison two parts: the football competition you want to follow, and the type of bet you want to place. Coverage of a league and coverage of a particular market are worth keeping separate.

For the broader overview, start with odds by sport. If Norwegian league football is the focus, the Eliteserien odds page is the more direct route. There is no need to make the comparison broader than the match and market you are actually interested in.

Then there are the winter sports. Cross-country skiing, «langrenn», and biathlon, «skiskyting», are covered at Quickz, Reblz, Winsly, Smash and more. Quickz covers 33 sports and Reblz covers 31. Those totals are useful for comparing breadth, but the practical question is still whether the sport you want is included. Handball, ice hockey, tennis and esports are available at most sites.

So the order is straightforward: start with the sport, narrow it to the competition where relevant, then look at the market. A sports count gives an overview; the coverage that matters is the coverage you will actually use.

Bettingsider, bookmakere, oddssider – same thing?

«Bettingsider» (betting sites), «bookmakere» (bookmakers) and «oddssider» (odds sites) mean the same thing here: sites where you bet on sports at fixed odds. The wording changes, but the type of site does not. So when you see those terms across Oddssider, read them as different names for the same category, rather than three separate kinds of betting service.

Then there is «Norske oddssider» (Norwegian odds sites). Here, that means odds sites that accept Norwegian players, with NOK and payment methods that work in Norway. That is the meaning to keep in mind when reading the list: access for Norwegian players, NOK and suitable payment methods.

And «Beste oddssider» (best odds sites) is what the list ranks. The terminology is simply a way into that comparison. You can use the pages for betting sites («bettingsider») or bookmakers; both names refer to sites for betting on sports at fixed odds.
